Went to the Red Tour Thursday night.
In Newark NJ. I went with two of my younger sisters, my mom, my fatherinlaws daughter who is 7 and Ady. It was her first concert at 2 and a half and we bought her these huge headphones that I bedazzled with red gemstones and it was just great. We had terrible seats, but to watch her come from no one knowing the words to her songs when I saw her as an opener to this tour - amazing. This show is phenomenal. It's her best yet. Even if you're not a fan, GO.

yayy holiday weekends
Spent the weekend upstate at E's parent's place. Was going to go to Maine for the weekend until we realized that they were getting another snow storm so getting home or even there might have been an issue. So we went upstate. I took Ady skiing - well, for her first ski lesson and it was entertaining to say the least and the boys stayed home. Overall, it was a very good weekend with my man and my kids and my father in laws and their daughter Kyra. Lots of laughs and lots of love. Back to reality tomorrow. Yay.

2/11 with tights belt and jewelry, all exact
This weekend was awesome. We went upstate Friday morning before the snow and got snowed in all weekend - about a foot and a half! My mom cooked me a big meal for my birthday Saturday with all of my favorites and my little sisters baked me a cake. We brought Ady and Edwin sledding Saturday afternoon and they loved it. Ed was nothing but giggles the entire time and Ady actually cried when we went back inside. Needless to say, if there's still snow going back up this weekend - these years don't last long. It was a very good birthday.

Today, at student teaching, my kids sang happy birthday to me and I got a whole bunch of cards - it was so nice! We're seeing a lot of progress. I only have a few more weeks here and I'm really gonna miss these kids!

Student teaching today - all exact plus add white/cream sweater tights. Today was a nightmare lots of just problems...like so many tantrums and behavioral issues that we barely got anything academic done today. And tomorrow is most likely cancelled due to the blizzard coming for us (YAY).

So if that's the case, and school is cancelled, then that mean's E's classes are cancelled as well and we'll head up to my parent's house. My birthday is Saturday so we'll spend it with my parents and then (if weather permitting) sneak away and have a night away with just me and Ethan and leave our babies with my parents. :)

alll exact except the pants (black dress pants from h&m tho) and a white button down.

Absolutely loving student teaching once again. I'm alone in the apartment - kids are asleep and E has overnight clinical tonight. He'll be getting home at about 3 meaning thats when I'll wake up. Lovely. But he has class tomorrow at 10 so I better let him sleep because he's been up since 6 this morning....I have no idea how's he's functioning.

Absolutely hating that I put my babies in the care of a nanny. Ady is starting to talk in full sentences. They're short but they're sentences!! We're also reading a lot more. She likes to help me "grade" so I've given her a sketch pad and a marker and let her "grade" while I do. It's hilarious.

She'll have a busy year next fall. She's going to start ballet AND preschool! We have to start looking into preschool more but it's very exciting to us. I can't believe she's two and a half - like where did the time go! We're starting to work on potty training, we'll fully start this weekend but it could be problematic with the nanny and us taking turns parenting that I'm not sure how effective it'll be and how long it'll take. My mom had us potty trained in literally a week...maybe I'll have her come down and show me the ways lol!! Anyway, I'm done with my work for the night and should go to bed now but I'm really awake so I'm not too sure as to how this'll go.

Typical Saturday

Typical Saturday
We were up at 5:00 am today. Because Mr. Edwin thought it'd be a great time to start the day and proceeded o wake the rest of us up, including his sister who wasn't too happy at all with this news. We made breakfast and then bundled the kids up and we went for a run through the park (~3 miles) with them in strollers. Then we came back and tried to get work done but that didn't really happen, so we just laid on the floor with the kids and they played and now they're down for a nap so we have approximately another hour of peace and quiet before they're up and then we're heading up to my parent's for the night because it's my brother's birthday today so we're going out to dinner with all of us and I get to see my family and that's rare plus the kids will be overly spoiled there (fact: the chances of me holding either of my children tonight are 0. Edwin will get passed to me because I'm breastfeeding, but that will be the only time I ever see either of them. When we went for Christmas, my mom wouldn't let me put Ady to bed her words were "i got this, go eat cookies" seriously ma?) so we may be able to sneak away and have a few minutes to be just us tonight which will be lovely.

So today, I'm lounging. Comfiest jeans, mocs, flannel, and my old favorite softest teeshirt ever. I'll change later for dinner but until we get up there, this is perfect. I'm going to fold laundry and grade some science and math tests before they'e up so we can leave asap. We should've driven up earlier so they could sleep in the car...oops.

Not sure how I felt about the cords with the boots, felt very equestrian but it was supposed to rain and I can't wear rain boots and I didn't want to wear flats or heels in it so that's what I settled with. Whatever. Anyway, student teaching is going amazingly. I'm obsessed. It's so much fun. Today, we did an interactive science/social studies lesson on weather and recreated the northeast US with clay and made water and waves and made it rain and so they got to see what weather does from above. It took a lot of planning and prepping and me crying about it this weekend because I couldn't get it to work but it was so worth it. The kids LOVED it.

Teaching today. This has been one of my most favorite outfits so far that I've worn so far. These pants are beyond comfy and these shoes just made me feel so professional. Today was awesome. There's a few boys in my class who are really struggling more than any other student with subtraction and today they finally just GOT IT. Like I broke through to them and it was awesome. I love moments like these, it's what makes it what I want to do because it's so rewarding.
